Mokichi
Okada, known to members of Shumei as Meishusama, believed that wellbeing
is within everyone's reach through the spiritual exercise of Jyorei,
an appreciation of art and beauty, and the care and reverence for
our environment. We are committed to advancing Meishusama's vision
of this global transformation. |

Our philosophy is deeply
spiritual in essence, yet no conflict exists between Shumei and religious
or spiritual practices that seek universal wellbeing. Shumei's members
and friends come from a variety of backgrounds and many deepen their
various religious beliefs and practices after becoming affiliated
with us. All are welcome. |
