Chemical fertilizers and commercial soil treatments are never used. Only naturally occurring nutrients are employed to enrich the soil. Compost is used only to keep the soil moist, insulated, and to promote acration. It is never used as a nutrient.

Fundamentally, the cultivation of food is not merely a business but also is a spiritual pursuit. It is important to observe a reverence towards both the soil and its bounty, and to cherish and honor that which gives us nourishment, This spiritual nurturing is the basis on which all physical nourishment depends.
