Kishima Island, a Nature preserve owned by Shinji Shumeikai in the Seto Inland Sea west of Osaka, is devoted to the practice of Natural Agriculture. Young Shumei members experience the natural splendor of Kishima by attending summer camp on the island and by learning the art of Natural Agriculture throughout the year. Kishima is also being developed into an environmental research center that will host conferences on conservation and the promotion of an environment free of industrial chemicals.
