Gratitude Speech Given at Misono’s Grand Sampai

  I come from The Philippines. I am very glad to be here with you today to be part of this Grand Sampai. I would like to tell you the story of how I learned about Jyorei, and my experiences with it.
In 1991, I went to the United States to visit my sister, Reze, who lives in Los Angeles. She was very, very weak because of pressure from too much work. She finally had to resign from her job because of very poor health. Just before I left to go back home she told me, "You know, I think my time is nearing." Those words bothered me a lot, so I had to go back the following year. That was 1992, and to my surprise she was well, strong, and very happy.
"So," I said, "What happened to you?"
And she said, "You know, my sister, it is Jyorei that cured me."

"So," I said, "Okay, can you introduce me to this Jyorei, how it is done?" and I went to the Pasadena Center and was introduced to Jyorei by Eugene Sensei. When I attended the Dedication Ceremony of the Pasadena Center in October 1992, I had pain in my right shoulder and I had migraines. They all disappeared after I received Kaishusama's Jyorei during the ceremony. This really convinced me to believe that Jyorei is real. I decided to receive my Ohikari immediately. Now I am a very strong woman because of Jyorei. When I went back home to the Philippines, I started administering Jyorei to my family and friends and even to people I didn't know. Jyorei gave me a lot of happiness and passion for life because when you help other people and you see them become very happy, it makes you happy. I start each day very early by giving Jyorei to my husband before he goes to the office; and then give Jyorei to my household helpers. At 10:00 o'clock each morning, I go out and start giving Jyorei to my friends.
I cannot tell you all the stories of the people that I have given Jyorei to, because I don't have enough time. But, let me start with my sister Thelma. Thelma was a severe diabetic and she was bed-ridden. Her daughter was afraid that her time was coming very soon. So, her daughter called the priest to give her Extreme Unction, which Catholics also call the “Late Rights.” After I started giving her Jyorei, she started to get up and walk around. My sister was a piano teacher. Because of the diabetes's, her hands became very stiff and she could not play the piano. She now can play the piano, and she can now walk. I am extremely grateful that Thelma came to Misono with me. She is here today sitting in Meishusama Hall. It is a great miracle.
I also would like to mention her brother-in-law, Bimbo, and his wife. Both had major operations. When Bimbo's wife had the operation, her recovery was amazing: on the second day she was already up and walking; the third day, she went out of the hospital; and, the fourth day she was in the shopping mall, shopping. You know, buying things. She was happy and she told me, "Ruby, I owe this to Jyorei." The husband, who has emphysema, has difficulty breathing. He had to take oxygen before receiving Jyorei. After the Jyorei, he removed the oxygen because he could now breathe freely. See the wonders of Jyorei!
Also, I would like to tell you about somebody who is an executive of a local TV station. This man was very depressed; he had lost interest in life. His wife just could not understand it. He did not go out of the house for two years. For two years his family and friends told him, "Please go out and enjoy life." But he just didn't want to do that. He lost all interest in life. He didn't want to see his old friends. He just ate, sat, and went to bed. That's all he did, every day. That was not good for his health and his wife was very worried. Then, I gave him Jyorei for ten days. You know what? On the 11th day I went to their house. His wife was there, and she said, "Ruby, my husband is not here now. He went to his home town to tend his farm." And I said, "Well! That is good news for me." Now you can see what is changed. For two years he did not go out of the house. But because of Jyorei he now goes out and tends to his farm.
We have a dream of having our own center in the very near future. Toward that goal, I continue giving Jyorei to as many people as possible. Jyorei gives me lots of energy and happiness. It cured my illness, it gives me great satisfaction in life, and I feel fulfilled. I thank God, I thank Meishusama for bringing Jyorei into the world. Thank you Kaishusama and Kaicho-sensei.
