Shinji Shumeikai of America, is seeking Taiko Instructional Coordinator for its Pasadena Center. Job duties include: Develop plans for instruction of taiko (Japanese ancient spiritual and performing art drumming tradition) and coordinate the curriculum between the employer’s centers.   Determine use and introduction of any of the seventeen types of taiko drums into the curriculum.  Develop contents of the instructions with an aim to preserve the spiritual effect of the drumming and to elevate the artistic attributes of this ancient performing art tradition.  Devise plans for physical training that is required for the rigors of this exacting form of performance. Provide guidelines for lead drummers for conducting training.  Establish taiko workshops and training camps and devise their syllabus. Develop plans and programs for the taiko ensemble.

Requirements: Bachelors in Education and Five Years Experience, or Masters in Education and Three Years Experience
